SPRING FAMILY DAY

Celebrate 100 years of Parents with a free, action-packed day of family-friendly entertainment on May 16 at Hudson Yards.

Kids can sing and dance along at a KIDZ BOP dance party, enjoy a live magic show, and experience a special Mozart for Munchkins concert. Throughout the day, families can also enjoy arts and crafts with Vivvi, balloon artists, face painting, and special shopping and dining offers inside The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards.

What does a bird sound like on the violin? Can a piano rumble like thunder or echo the rhythm of a busy street? In Hear the Wild, Mozart for Munchkins explores how composers transform the sounds of nature and everyday life into music. From playful animal melodies to bustling city rhythms, this lively concert invites families to listen closely as instruments chirp, stomp, swirl, and sing. Through joyful performance and interactive moments, audiences of all ages will discover how music captures the voices of the world around us.

1 PM — KIDZ BOP Dance Party with DJ KB

DJ KB, KIDZ BOP’s brand new DJ character, is joining Backyard at Hudson Yard Family Day for the ultimate family-friendly dance party that lets kids sing and dance their hearts out to the biggest KIDZ BOP hits! It’s perfect for kids ages 4-12 (and parents who love to dance too!). This fun, music-filled party gives kids the freedom to get moving, make new friends, and burn off energy… All before dinner time!

3 PM — Omar's Magic Show

Be astounded with awe in this interactive magic show filled with wonder, illusion and surprises!

Inspire creativity with free arts & crafts by Vivvi in the Public Square and Gardens. : Vivvi offers child care and early learning for children ages 0-5 with full-day schedules and rolling admissions. With 12 locations around NYC (including one in Hudson Yards), Vivvi meets families where they are.

These free interactive concerts bring the joy of live music to the Public Square and Gardens, where kids can move, dance, and play along. Featuring world-class musicians and a mix of classical, jazz, and global sounds, each performance is designed for curious listeners of all ages.

Young athletes can build confidence and develop fundamental soccer skills with coaches from Chelsea Piers. Clinics focus on dribbling, passing, and shooting in a fun and supportive environment.

Introduce young players to pickleball with free clinics led by expert CityPickle coaches. Sessions focus on building confidence while learning the fundamentals of the game.
